Trend Micro Buys Encryption Specialist Mobile Armor

com reports that Trend Micro has signed a definitive agreement to purchase endpoint encryption company Mobile Armor. In a press release, Trend Micro CEO Eva Chen says Mobile Armor's endpoint encryption suite will enhance its cloud computing data protection portfolio.. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2010, says MSPmentor.. Earlier this year, Symantec paid out $1.28 billion to acquire VeriSign's security business. More recently, Intel announced plans to acquire security vendor McAfee for about $7.68 billion..
