Pharmaceutical Product Development Inc. said Wednesday that it has appointed Henrietta Ukwu as its senior vice president of global regulatory affairs.
Ukwu will oversee regulatory services across all of the pharmaceutical research company's lines of business and provide clinical vaccine expertise to PPD's vaccines and biologics operations.
She is a trained physician, worked most recently as vice president of global regulatory affairs at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc., which was acquired by Pfizer Inc.
Shares of PPD rose 4 cents to close at $27.38.
