Cognizant buys Galileo, French IT consultant
Cognizant Technology buys French IT testing and consulting company Galileo
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. said Thursday it has acquired Galileo Performance, a Paris-based company that does testing and consulting on client information technology systems.
Cognizant, an IT outsourcing provider, did not say how much it is paying for the privately held company.
Cognizant said the deal will give it more of a footprint in France and more French-speaking consultants to help with its existing clients there.
Cognizant shares fell 37 cents to $53.62 in afternoon trading.
